The Characters

Armand is the younger half-brother of William and son of Warren and Diane. 

Howie is best friends with William, and boyfriend of Patricia. 

Warren is the second husband of Diane and father of Armand, and stepfather of Armand. 

Diane is the mother of William and Armand, daughter-in-law of Bill Robers, and wife of Warren.

William is the son of Diane and step-son of Warren. William’s father, William Jr., was killed in a tragic car accident in 1942 when William was an infant. 

Agnes is a former opera singer and widow. Her husband, George, died in the war. She enjoys the company of her cat.

Grandpaw is the father of William Robers, Jr., who died in a car accident in 1942. He is a failed author and former university professor.

Doris is Patricia’s best friend, and has taken an interest in William. 

 Patricia is the girlfriend of Howie. She likes Elvis.
